Arts Education…
Studies show that Arts Education in schools increases test scores, lowers dropout rates, closes the achievement gap, improves academic skills essential for reading and language development, advances students motivation to learn and more. Even so, a lack of funding has caused many schools to cut back or eliminate programs for art education.
Jacklyn Laflamme has been actively engaged in community art projects for children, often with the support of local municipalities and/or through county grant programs.
The fun and excitement the children (and adults) experience is very gratifying and underscores the importance of art in a child’s development. The F.T.P. would encourage everyone to get involved within their own community, share your time and talent and be an inspiration to a child. We believe you’ll find it very rewarding.
